Gladstone Pacific Nickel plans to develop a new $US3.65 billion nickel and cobalt refinery. The project has State and federal environmental approvals but remains on hold. |

Boulder Steel proposes construction of a $1.8 billion steel plant to be developed in two stages. It plans to produce 2.5mtpa of billets, blooms and slabs as the first stage of the project, followed by a second stage expansion to 5mtpa. |
