Former Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) ceo Shane Charles has joined Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) as a non-executive director.

He is one of three new directors joining the company.

Aurecon Group director, Peter Mansell has been appointed as chairman of the board, replacing interim chair Andrea Sutton and head of the Victorian departments of mines and petroleum Paul Dowd has been named as a non-executive director.

Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA) is one of the Australia’s largest uranium producers and longest continually operating uranium mine.

ERA’s Ranger mine is located eight kilometres east of Jabiru and 260 kilometres east of Darwin, in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Uranium has been mined at Ranger for three decades. Ranger mine is one of only three mines in the world to produce in excess of 110,000 tonnes of uranium oxide.
