Exploration feature event in Brisbane this month

A distinguished line-up of speakers will tackle the topic of ‘Exploring Outside the Box’ at the first Queensland Exploration Council (QEC) event for the year.

The conference, sponsored by Evolution Mining, will showcase new developments in exploration techniques.

The QEC Technical Seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 17 at the Royal on the Park, 152 Alice St, Brisbane.

Confirmed speakers are:
  • Tony Knight, chief government geologist
  • Professor Gideon Chitombo, professor and chair of minerals industry engagement SMI UQ
  • Dr Geoff Dickie, chair Queensland Exploration Council
  • Dr Laurie Hutton, principal geoscientist/minerals geoscience, Geological Survey of Queensland, Department of Natural Resources and Mines
  • Dan Wood, adjunct professor WH Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC)
  • Professor Richard Hillis, chief executive officer Deep Exploration Technologies CRC
  • Mark McGeough, general manager–geology Chinova Resources
