From busy bees at Clermont to golden skies over the German Creek mine, the finalists have been selected for the Colours of Isaac photography competition, and it is time for the public to vote for their favourites.

Middlemount councillor Jane Pickels this year’s competition had gone social, with winners determined by ‘likes’ on Facebook.Image 3_Joanne Knobel – Busy Bee – Clermont

“If you would like to vote, just jump onto (Isaac Regional) Council’s Facebook page and click ‘like’ on your favourite image,” she said.

Voting is open until 8.30am, May 4, at  www.facebook.com/isaacregionalcouncil/

Colours of Isaac finalists include:

  • Ashlee Fry – The Golden Mile – Dysart
  • Catrina Tinka Gollan – Rise Over the Creek – German Creek Mine Middlemount
  • Joanne Knobel – Busy Bee – Clermont
  • Leanne Hardie – Simple Things in Life – Lake Elphinstone
  • Maddie Rolfe – Juxtaposition – Moranbah
  • Shaun Huntley – Festival Lights – Moranbah
  • Veronica Wild – Tranquil Waters - Carmila

 

The image with the most likes at the end of the voting period will win a Visa Gift Card – first place $150, second place $100, third place - $50.
