Bowen Basin

It’s tight and everyone is looking for new and more business.

Have you thought about C-Res?

C-Res was developed in 2002 to deliver BHP-Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and BHP Billiton Mitsui Coal’s (BMC) local purchasing program.

It’s targeted at business employing less than 25 full time staff in the Bowen Basin and Mackay regions.

That includes Blackwater, Capella, Emerald, Dysart, Moranbah, Nebo and Mackay.

Businesses in the eligible communities in the Bowen Basin are able to provide goods/services to BMA/BMC Operations in the Bowen Basin. Businesses in the Mackay Region are able to provide goods/services as required by the Hay Point Coal Terminal and BMC Operations (Poitrel and South Walker Creek).

Businesses in either region may have opportunities from time to time to supply goods/services to other regions if no businesses in that region have quoted on new work opportunities.

Eligible local businesses can register by clicking here

As of March 2014, 372 local businesses had been approved as suppliers to BMA. This has led to 1,910 work opportunities for local businesses, valued at US$25 million.
