It’s back.

The first Townsville Industry Breakfast of the year will be held at the RSL on March 15.

Roads and government assets are on the bill.

Main Roads and Transport

Department of Transport and Main Roads Northern District director Marissa Wise will present on the Palaszczuk Government’s $77.6 million plan to generate jobs in northern Queensland.

The accelerated works program will bring forward 11 infrastructure projects, including road upgrades and new overtaking lanes on the Bruce Highway, intersection upgrades, road widening and strengthening, wide centre line treatments and construction of a heavy vehicle decoupling facility.

Ms Wise will discuss the upcoming opportunities for local suppliers and contractors, and how the industry can get the most out of these works.

Building and Asset Services

Building and Asset Services regional director Don Matthews and acting procurement manager Kym Waller will present information on upcoming tenders, with an approximate value of $20 million for building works in the North Queensland area and will provide some information on how interested parties can access these opportunities. Building Asset Services have an annual spend of more than $100 million across Queensland.
